Isaija Parivodski

The hermitage (isposnica) in the forest east of Beli Majdan is named after him. He signed himself Isaija Parivodić, hieromonk of Rakovac; guides call him Parivodski.

• 1767: he copied the chronicle of Abbot Teofan, the text that preserves the founding legend of the monastery.
• 1771: published descriptions of the hermitage read his inscription beside the entrance as 1771: he stayed at the cave “at the time of his infirmity”. He is considered the first monk of Rakovac to live there.
• The Eparchy of Srem names him as a copyist of a Srbljak (book of services to Serbian saints) and writes that he rests at the hermitage, near the former monks’ cemetery.
