Vrdnik Tower
The 18-metre keep of a medieval fortress first recorded in 1315, on a hill above Vrdnik spa. You can climb it by a steel staircase and look out over Srem.

Vrdnik spa and Fruške Terme
Good for kids
Vrdnik is a spa village on the southern slopes of Fruška Gora. From Rakovac the road climbs past the monastery to Zmajevac and drops down the other side: about 12 minutes by car. Above the village stands the medieval Vrdnik Tower.
Fruške Terme
The Fruške Terme thermal resort (today run as Mövenpick Resort & Spa Fruške Terme) is the biggest attraction. The hotel was built in 2018–2020 and the outdoor pools in 2021–2022. There are 12 pools, indoor and outdoor, with about 2,500 m² of water at 28–33 °C, including a panoramic pool and a glass-walled pool. The resort is designed for about 500 overnight guests and 800 day visitors.
Kosta’s tip: in his view it is the best thermal spa hotel in Serbia.
Termal
In the centre of Vrdnik, the older Termal spa hotel has indoor thermal pools that are also open to day visitors.
Where to eat: Konak Stari Orah
Vrdnik has plenty of small restaurants. Kosta’s favourite is Konak Stari Orah (Fruškogorska 17, phone +381 22 465770): traditional Serbian cooking with smoked specialities, seating for about 100 guests including a garden. It is still open according to its current map listing.
