I am Konstantin Stein, Kosta to my neighbours. These days my work is about creativity, promotion and building new projects with the help of artificial intelligence. This website is one of them: I am making it together with Claude, an AI model by Anthropic. More about my projects is on my personal website, stein-1.com.

Where this comes from

My love of local history, of exploring the world around me and of travel was planted early.

• My father. From my early childhood the two of us explored every place we ended up in. That is how I learned about geology, stones and fossils, and how to live in the forest.
• My mother. She is an organic chemist and wrote her thesis on medicinal and aromatic herbs. She taught me which plants are good to eat, which make a good tea and which are used in medicine.
• My grandfather. He was a passionate mushroom and berry picker.

Wherever I live, I try to know the history of the country and the place. In Rakovac, with seven thousand years of history in one small valley, that turned into this website. I also add places and photos to Google Maps as a Local Guide (level 8).

Buy local

I try to buy food and services from local producers whenever I can. This site is one way to help them. Over time we want to collect in the People section who in Rakovac does what, and which services they can offer.
